Pregnancy Chiropractor Colorado Springs
When you’re expecting, you might think that discomfort is inevitable. You have hormones flooding your body to prepare you for labor, making your ligaments lax and muscles tight. Your weight distribution also has changed. The result? Low back pain, sciatica, mid-back pain and headaches. Many will likely have sleep difficulties, labored breathing or chronic fatigue.
These are just a few of the many problems that can be addressed through care at Freedom Chiropractic.
When you’re expecting, the better aligned your spine and pelvis are, the greater chance your body has at allowing your baby to develop optimally and for you to have successful labor and delivery.
Safe & Gentle Care
One of the most common questions we get from expectant mothers: “Is chiropractic safe during pregnancy?” We answer with a resounding yes! It’s not only safe, but it’s also effective and we have so many different techniques that it might not be your old school “rack and crack” type of adjustment. Prenatal chiropractic is always safe, comfortable and more specific.
The Care You Need During Pregnancy
Your care will be tailored to your needs. For example, if you’re an existing patient and become pregnant, we may not change your care schedule. If you’re new to us, you may need to see us 2-3 times a week to start. After your baby is born, we encourage you to continue care due to the trauma of labor, the demands of breastfeeding and having little sleep.
We won’t take X-rays on you, but we have a MyoVision scanner that can show us areas of interference in your spine. When it comes to your adjustments, we have a table that will accommodate your belly and allow you to lie face down. Moms love it since they haven’t been able to for so long! However, if you prefer to be sitting up or lying on your side we can adjust you that way as well.
